LHSC – Interventional Radiology Recovery Bay

The Interventional Radiology renovation at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) marks a significant transformation of the University Hospital's existing space, poised to revolutionize the capacity and capabilities of the department.

This reimagined facility incorporates cutting-edge patient monitoring technology, enabling the simultaneous treatment of a larger number of patients. The addition of seven new inpatient bays amplifies the department’s capacity, while a meticulously curated interior design scheme introduces elements of natural wood, a redesigned nurses’ station, and other functional and aesthetic enhancements, all thoughtfully orchestrated to enhance the patient experience and foster overall well-being.

In tandem with the spatial expansion, the renovation encompasses the integration of crucial support areas, including dedicated storage for arrest carts and the introduction of a brand-new accessible patient washroom space. This comprehensive upgrade positions the LHSC Interventional Radiology department as a model of excellence in the field.
