Located within the Robarts Research Institute the Centre for Functional and Metabolic Mapping (CFMM) boasts Canada's foremost advanced ultra-high field MRI platform.

To support this program our team was tasked with the integration of the Bruker 15.2T preclinical system within a biocontainment level 2 facility, meticulously designed by our team at Matter, underscores our commitment to facilitating research involving infectious pathogens and other biological materials. This cutting-edge MRI system stands as one of the most potent globally, promising unparalleled capabilities.

This $1.5 million dollar renovation encompasses various facets essential for cutting-edge research. New spaces for animal preparation, an MRI room with associated equipment space, upgraded MEP services tailored to support the new machine, and office spaces have been meticulously crafted. Moreover, a striking decorative wall feature, designed to resemble DNA markers, serves as a visual representation of our dedication to advancing scientific exploration.
